Business for biodiversity
Over the years, UEBT has contributed to a shift in how business think of biodiversity, including:
· A shift in business awareness on access and benefit sharing, resulting in an increase of company policies and concrete efforts on access and benefit sharing related to biodiversity based research and development
· A shift in awareness of ethical sourcing systems that respect all people and biodiversity
· A shift in awareness of concrete actions companies can take for people and biodiversity
But more needs to be done. Read the UEBT document The Big Shift: Recommendations for business on the conservation and sustainable use of biodiversity (coming July 2020) that are part of the contribution of UEBT to the Post-2020 Global Biodiversity Framework.
