Regeneration study – Centella

As part of a project with UEBT and company partners, this regeneration study was conducted in 2017-2018 to investigate how the regeneration of Centella asiatica could be ensured over time in one of the most important collection areas in Madagascar.  The study found that Centella asiatica's availability was not in danger in the study area and that regeneration rates in most of the sites were good. Areas where UEBT practices were followed showed similar regeneration rates to areas where no collection took place.

This fact sheet summarises the study’s objectives, methodology, results and conclusion.
