Complaints and appeals procedure
The UEBT Complaints and Appeals Procedure outlines how to bring a complaint or appeal to UEBT related to the following issues: UEBT membership assessments and decisions, UEBT standard setting and development processes, certification, verification and other UEBT assurance decisions, UEBT oversight of Certification Bodies (CBs) and auditors, UEBT related claims, implementation of UEBT assignments or projects.
Complaints or appeals regarding practices of UEBT members are covered by PRO 30 Procedure for addressing claims of conduct inconsistent with ethical sourcing of biodiversity. Complaints and appeals regarding contractual agreements with CBs are covered by the CBs own appeals procedures.
