Guidance on UEBT Standard Principle 3: Fair prices and sourcing arrangements

 
 

Fair prices and sourcing arrangements with producers are considered in the UEBT standard under Principle 3. Criteria 3.1 and 3.2 focus on this topic.

This document was developed by UEBT to support the work of companies and organisations in ensuring that fair prices are paid to producers (i.e., local pickers / collectors or farmers cultivating natural raw materials) in sourcing areas. 

It is part of a series of technical guidance documents, meant to support the implementation of key issues of the UEBT standard. It was developed with the support of the BioTrade facilitation programme, UNCTAD.  UEBT and UNCTAD acknowledge the financial contribution of the Swiss State Secretariat of Economic Affairs (SECO).
