Roster of auditors - Latin America
UEBT periodically needs freelance auditors for UEBT programmes. If you are interested, please submit your CV to our roster and we will get in touch should needs arise.
Typical responsibilities:
Prepare field audits by reviewing documentation shared by UEBT on the assessment and available information on the organisation to be assessed, on the ingredient and on the local context. Liaise with the local company for logistics
Conduct the field assessment at processing facilities and sourcing areas using the UEBT field checklist. Assessments include:
Observations of the practices at the field level and the processing facilities
Interviews (at processing level and field level) with farmers, workers, and other relevant stakeholders
Review of documentation (at processing level and field level)
Share feedback of findings to assessed organization and identify opportunities for improvement. Provide guidance on ways to improve the supply chain practices.
Complete field verification reports
Requirements to be considered as part of our roster of auditors:
To qualify as a UEBT authorised auditor, the following minimum requirements must be met:
Bachelor's or equivalent or higher degree in the following areas: environmental sciences, agronomy, biology, sustainable development, rural development, sociology, or related fields.
At least two years of experience working in social and environmental surveys and baseline studies in rural environments, rural development, agronomy, agri-food or natural resource supply chain management, social-environmental impact, or compliance monitoring.
ISO equivalent auditor course of at least 16 hours.
At least 40 hours of field auditing experience in at least two audits in equivalent standard during the past two years.
For audits conducted in Latin America, a high working profiency and/or fluency in Spanish or Portuguese is required; along with excellent English skills, both writing and speaking.
If you are contacted by us in the future as needs arise, any specialized training will be provided by UEBT through our e-learning platform and through practical trainings in the field with our local lead auditor.
