Verification is available to both UEBT members and non-members.

Steps to Verification

Apply and submit information
Contact UEBT verification team at verification@uebt.org (for subsequent verification contact your dedicated verification account manager) to discuss your interest in assessing some supply chain(s). Gather information on the specific supplier/supply chain you wish to verify and submit it through an assessment questionnaire available on the right.
- 🗓️ The assessment questionnaire must be submitted 12 weeks before the assessment
UEBT defines assessment plan and date
In consultation with the local supplier(s) and based on the information provided in the questionnaire and supply chain reality.
- 🗓️ The assessment date should be blocked 8 weeks in advance
Prepare the assessment
Ahead of UEBT expert’s visit you can familiarise with UEBT standard and field checklists that will be used for verification. Relevant documents can be found on the right and on UEBT’s resources page

Conduct field visit
- 🗓️ A visit can take one to five days depending on the complexity of your supply chain and consists of the following:

 Assessment report and feedback meeting  
  UEBT verification team submits a qualitative report summarising findings and gives a comprehensive presentation providing recommendations for corrective actions if any.

          Report is submitted within 3 months maximum after the end of the assessment

          Within 3 months of reception of the report, assessed organisation still have the possibility, depending on the nature of the improvement gap identified in the report and only if this can be checked remotely, to provide new evidence to correct those gaps. They will be reviewed by UEBT and the scoring of the report might be adjusted accordingly.
        
 Develop a workplan  
  As a supplier, you propose a formal improvement plan which will be revised and approved by UEBT.

Communicate and Make Claims  
 If you have reached a verification level you can make UEBT verification claims only once you received your attestation and received an approval for your claim use.

          Attestation can be renewed upon expiry (between 1 to 3 years) by contacting UEBT for a subsequent verification. Learn more here on the validity of attestation.
