The Requirements for certificate holders (formerly called the ‘certification protocol’) is for potential certificate holders who wish to become part of the UEBT ingredient certification programme or the UEBT/Rainforest Alliance Herbs & Spices Programme. It is also useful for current certificate holders. 

This version of the document is for processing, buying or manufacturing companies that are not located in the sourcing areas.

The document lays out the different steps and requirements to prepare for your external audit in the UEBT ingredient certification programme or UEBT/Rainforest Alliance Herbs & Spices Programme.  It includes the conditions that need to be place and the steps that should be followed for monitoring the implementation of the good practices in the UEBT standard and ensuring compliance with those requirements.
